Fire Ban issued due to extreme fire hazards
Town of Kindersley has issued a fire ban under the provisions of Bylaw 23-09, A Bylaw Respecting Fire Prevention. This bans all fire pits, open fires, and fireworks on all private and public lands within the geographic boundary of the Town of Kindersley.
Charcoal and gas briquette barbeques with lids, along with contained cheminea with door, are permitted for the duration of the ban but only for the purpose of heating and cooking.
Dry conditions exist due to an extended period of time with lack of significant rainfall. Currently many of the surrounding municipalities in the area have issued firebans. This fire ban will stay in place until conditions improve and Declaration is rescinded.
Failure to comply with this ban, may result in a fine of up to $5000 per individual, and $10,000 per company or corporation.
