Council Meeting Highlights

An application to subdivide 4.42 acres of land adjacent to Railway Avenue was supported by Council after successful negotiations with the applicant, VP Energy Services Ltd., members of Council and Town Administration, and representative for petitioning home owners in Prairie Winds Estates, which is located opposite the proposed subdivision property, who requested a guarantee that efforts be made to create a sound barrier to minimize noise.

The landowner will pay the costs to landscape and plant caragana and poplar/ash trees along the north and south sides of Railway Avenue from Highway extending to the east boundary of Prairie Winds Estates. Phase 1 of the landscape plan is to be completed in 2017; and Phase 2 in 2018.
