Jenny Attends The Barn’s Mother’s Day Tea

The Barn in Herschel hosted it’s Mother’s Day High Tea May 14th. Transporting people to another
place and another time the rustic prairie charm of the restored barn was a perfect setting to
host the event.

During the 1880s upper-class and society women would change into long gowns, gloves and
hats for their afternoon tea which was usually served in the drawing room. All ages atended
the two sittings of tea donning beautiful hats and dresses.

Melissa Wintle from Herbal Twist Tea out of Alsask, who creates her own blends of tea,
served a selection of those blends to those who attended. Refreshing and tasteful cold and
hot out of adorable teapots and cups.

Following the tea attendees could take in the beautiful weather touring the grounds of the
venue. A perfect pampering for everyone!
