Main Street traffic signals replacement is almost complete.

New LED signals and lights have been installed in four intersections downtown between 1st and 5th Ave. The new lights have davit arms which will improve visibility for motorists. This installation was due to the outdated technology of the previous traffic signals which made them difficult to repair.

According to the Town of Kindersley the total cost of the project was $260,000 and was approved in late 2016 but was postponed due to delay in supply shipment and weather. RGM Contracting was hired to complete the project in conjunction with SaskPower.

Curb reconstruction and repair will have to take place as the base of the new standards are larger than the previous infrastructure. This concrete reconstruction will take place in the coming weeks.

Extensions of the curb at the intersection of Main St. and 2nd Ave E are proposed to provide more space around the light standard and will assist with parking issues.

The Town of Kindersley would like to the thank the community for their patience in this project.
