The Kindersley RCMP had a busy weekend
Many traffic stops were conducted in all Kindersley, Kerrobert and Eston dispatch areas.
June 9th, 2017
At 8:35 p.m. RCMP in Eston received a complaint of a possible impaired driver. The vehicle was located in the Town of Eston and open alcohol was discovered in the vehicle. The alcohol was disposed of and a ticket was given to the 18 year old driver for have, give, keep or consume alcohol in a vehicle, section 109(1) under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act. This charge carries a $360 fine.

At 12:36 a.m. RCMP in Kindersley conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and open alcohol was discovered inside. The alcohol was disposed of and a ticket was given to the 20 year old driver for have, give, keep or consume alcohol in a vehicle, section 109(1) under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act. This charge carries a $360 fine.
At 2:07 a.m. RCMP officers in Kindersley received a noise complaint to a residence located on 2nd Avenue West. The residence was said to be having a loud back yard party. Officers arrived to the residence in question and it was very quiet, almost eerie. The officers made a few more patrols and it looked like it had shut down for the night. No one ever wants to party with Kindersley RCMP.
At 3:42 a.m. RCMP officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Town of Kindersley. The 19 year old driver was placed on an approved screening device and failed. A 60 day driving suspension and a 3 day vehicle impoundment was issued.
At 11:30 p.m. in the Town of Eatonia, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle. After an initial investigation, the 57 year old male driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Failure/Refusal to Provide Breath Sample. The driver was released the next morning and is set to appear in Kindersley Provincial Court on August 1st, 2017.
The many traffic stops that were conducted over the weekend resulted in over 54 cans/bottles of alcohol disposed of, 4 written warnings, 3 vehicle impoundments and over 11 tickets were given for Traffic Violations.
