Child Pornography Investigation

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) has charged a man from Eatonia, SK. for child pornography offences. William James WINSLEY, age 54, has been charged with the following offences;

Possessing Child Pornography – Sec 163.1(4) CC (Information #90152827)

This investigation began in early May 2017 after child pornography was uploaded to online cloud storage. On May 30 the Saskatchewan ICE Unit, with the assistance of the Kindersley RCMP, executed a search warrant at a residence in Eatonia, where numerous computer and storage devices were seized and WINSLEY was arrested.

This investigation is ongoing and investigators believe there may be other potential victims. Anyone with knowledge of WINSLEY’S online activity is asked to come forward to the RCMP (310-RCMP) or contact their local police service. Parents are encouraged to speak with their children about online sexual exploitation. William WINSLEY appeared in Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Saskatoon at 9:30 am on Wednesday, May 31. He was remanded for a show cause hearing on June 2, 2017 at 9:30 am.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
