Extreme Cold Warning Ended for Kindersley and Area

Cold Weather Will Continue, But Mercury is Rising

For the first time in days, the Kindersley area is no longer under an extreme cold warning. Environment Canada ended the warning late Thursday afternoon. However, the area is not out of the woods yet.

The high for Friday is -21C and the wind chill can still plummet us to -36C this afternoon. Combined with periods of snow and some wind, the weather is not exactly balmy. There is still risk of frostbite in these temperatures so please remember to dress for the weather and travel with winter caution.

Saturday will likely dawn with a frosty start of -44C wind chill. The sun is expected to break out on Sunday and by Monday we could possibly be enjoying sunshine with a rising mercury level of only -7C.

Until that sunny day, stay warm and safe!
