Weather Alert: Snowfall Warning For Region

Issued By
Meteorological Service of Canada, CA, Environment and Climate Change Canada

Affected Area
R.M. of Kindersley including Kindersley Brock and Flaxcombe

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.

Much of southern Saskatchewan saw its first blast of winter overnight. Heavy snow will taper off from west to east through the day on Tuesday.

The snow will continue towards the Yorkton region before dissipating later Tuesday.

In addition to the snow, moderate northerly winds will develop along with this system, bringing in colder temperatures and resulting in local areas of blowing snow. We recommend that travellers be prepared for poor visibilities and accumulating snow or slush on roadways.

Please plan travel accordingly! Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

If travelling during or in the wake of this storm, refer to the Highway Hotline to see the latest road conditions along your route: https://hotline.gov.sk.ca/map
