“Our mission is to serve Veterans, including serving military and RCMP members and their families, to promote Remembrance, and to serve our communities and our country,” is the Legion’s mission.

The Kindersley Legion Branch 57 has been performing this service in our community for nearly 100 years. During this time not only have they supported veterans but have held fundraising events for the Kindersley Handi Transit bus, the Kindersley Hospital, Heritage Manor, Kindersley Cadets, Music Festivals, KDAC, the Kindersley Curling Club, the West Central Events Centre, the Kindersley Food Bank, Kindersley AA and many more!

You do not need to be a veteran to join or related to a person serving in the military or RCMP. You can also wear whatever you want, there is no need to wear a uniform to meetings.

October and November tend to be the busiest time of the year for the Legion as members are getting ready for the Remembrance Day parade and service.

Another event that is often held is their awards night. This is always a great way to get together and honour volunteers and the community.

Fundraising for the community is often done through various fundraisers and events. Plus, the Legion Hall, which was renovated in 2015, is available for rent! The Legion’s Poppy Fund goes to help the Veterans, Peacekeepers, retired Veterans and RCMP in our community.

The Legion has noted that more Veterans need to be identified in our area, if you would like to connect with the Legion on this or to discuss becoming a member, please reach out to Kindersley Legion Branch # 57 President Scott Holloway at  306-460-4688
