Truro, N.S., to Host 2023 World Junior A Challenge

Hockey Canada, in collaboration with the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL), have announced on that Truro, N.S., will be the host city for the 2023 World Junior A Challenge, scheduled to take place from December 10 to 17.

The eight-day event will showcase top Canadian and international talent and marks the fourth time it returns to Atlantic Canada, with Truro being the host for the second time.

The participating nations and the detailed schedule for the WJAC games, along with ticket package information, will be unveiled in the upcoming weeks.

In addition to the WJAC announcement, Hockey Canada also confirmed that the Oakville Blades (OJHL) will have the honor of hosting the 2024 Centennial Cup from May 9 to 19.

The 10-team Canadian Jr. A Championship will witness the nine CJHL member-league title holders competing with the host Blades to determine the national champion.

If Oakville clinches the OJHL crown, then the league’s finalist will also earn a spot in the Centennial Cup tournament.
