Driver Fined $1394 for Exceeding 60 KM/HR While Passing Highway Workers

Recently, officers from the Maidstone Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan (CTSS) unit, stopped a driver travelling 123 km/hr in a 60 km/hr construction zone.

The construction zone was marked with work being done in both ditches adjacent to the road. The driver was fined $1394 for exceeding 60 km/hr while passing highway workers or occupied highway equipment within a work zone.

Please remember, roads are being repaired and maintained year-round in Saskatchewan. Work zones are filled with safety hazards and require your full attention at all times.
