Rosetown RCMP Respond to MVC Collision Near Tessier

In addition to the calls below, Rosetown RCMP have shared that there have been numerous reports of scam phone calls. The nature of the calls include individuals telling people they have won the STARS lottery and in order to have the vehicle they won delivered to them they need to purchase a VISA card for
$750.00 to cover the cost of the vehicle delivery. Another scam involves the callers identifying as Amazon. They are advised their Amazon account has been compromised and they are requesting account and bank information. Police are reminding people to NOT give any personal information to unknown individuals and if, in doubt, always call the RCMP before agreeing to any callers requests.


On January 5, 2024, at 11:55 AM, the Rosetown RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 7 near Tessier, SK, reported for insurance purposes with no injuries.

On January 6, 2024:

  • At 10:12 AM, the Rosetown RCMP mediated a family dispute in Rosetown, SK.
  • At 1:48 PM, they received a report of a train malfunction at Highway 4 and 7, reported for information purposes.
  • At 6:25 PM, they received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 7, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

On January 7, 2024, at 8:36 PM, the Rosetown RCMP received a report of a motor vehicle collision with a deer on Highway 7 near Harris, SK, reported for insurance purposes with no injuries.

On January 8, 2024:

  • At 8:48 AM, they received a complaint of an assault in Rosetown, SK, resulting in the arrest and charging of a 47-year-old male from Rosetown for Assault with a weapon, Mischief, and Disturbing the peace.
  • At 10:18 AM, they received a report of theft of fuel in Herschel, SK, with insufficient evidence to proceed.
  • At 2:28 PM, they received a report of a break and enter to the Scout Hut and a business in Elrose, SK. The public is requested to contact the Rosetown RCMP Detachment at 306-882-5700 with any information or security footage.

On January 9, 2024:

  • At 9:26 AM, the Rosetown RCMP received a fraud complaint in Rosetown, SK, which is still under investigation.
  • At 10:27 AM, they received a report of a suspicious male in Elrose, SK, with insufficient evidence to proceed.

There were also 38 Traffic related charges issued, 2 false alarm calls and 1 911 miss-dial call.
