Kindersley Ice sees Youth Activity
By Mallorie Rast
Despite the mental tug-o-war of misgivings and hopeful expectations, the back to season ice experience for Kindersley Youth has been positive so far.
The Kindersley Klippers’ Skate School for children ages 5 to 10 from August 24 to the 27th was pronounced a success, and this weekend the Klippers Mian Camp will see more youth hitting the ice, although due to health regulations, no members of the public will be able to attend just to watch.
For the Kindersley Minor Hockey association, two days are gone and four more are yet to go for the September Speed Skate, and the organization says that the first week was successful and is looking forward to their next two weeks.
“Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding as we work our way through the ‘new’ hockey procedures!” exclaimed an upbeat Facebook post yesterday.
In view of their successful back to ice procedures, Kindersley Minor Hockey decided to host their 4th annual Girls Hockey Camp this year. The weekend event from October 16-18 will focus on skills on and off of the ice, including classes of JOGA, stick handling and nutrition.
Space is limited so interested participants are urged to sign up sooner rather than later.
