Combine Fire Tonight South East of Netherhill

Tonight around 4:57 p.m. Kindersley Fire was dispatched to an unknown fire, the caller reported seeing black and white smoke south of Highway 7. The fire was south east of Netherhill.

At 5:05 p.m. trucks left town, and while on their way to the scene they received updated information explaining that both a field and combine were on fire.

At 5:16 p.m. crews were on scene, by 5:26 p.m. the fire was under control and by 5:43 p.m losses were stopped and the crew was leaving the scene.

At 6:16 p.m. all units were back at the hall but not in service. By 6:48 p.m. all units were back in service.

Kindersley Fire wishes to extend a huge thank-you the farmers and passerby’s that showed up with tractors, cultivation equipment, water trucks, rakes and shovels. It is because of their efforts and assistance the fire was contained quickly.
