Howard leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 30 years Sandra, his 2 brothers, Art of Moosejaw, and Andy of Australia, his 3 nieces Shannon, Melanie, and Jodie, his cousins, aunts, and uncles. He also leaves his adored dogs Abbie and Chomper who were of utmost importance in Howards Life. On Sandra’s side there is a large extended family.
Howard was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Doris, nephew Shane, sisters-in-law Sharon and Pauline.
Howard was born in Kindersley on August 9th, 1953. He attended school in Eatonia and was raised on the family farm near Mantario, farmed with his dad and eventually took over the farming operation. In 1990 he married Sandra Horton and together they resided in Kindersley ever since. Howard retired from farming in 2007. He was very proud of the fact that he was a recovered alcoholic through the AA program, where many friendships were made and maintained over the years.
Howard was a quiet, and gentle man. He and Sandra loved and enjoyed their many pets over the years. He had a curiosity for creating and building things around the house which caused him to be a collector of many things that may someday become useful.
