New Chamber, New Direction
The 2019 Kindersley and District Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors was elected at the AGM in April.

The current Board of Directors has initiated several projects since being elected. The biggest and most visible of which is the SHOPKINDERSLEY.CA program with the goal to educate consumers why we should be supporting our local stores and the consequences if we don’t. The gift card program is a year round endeavor to encourage local shopping.
In addition, we created a local Professional Resource Package that is available to our membership which will assist them in getting in touch with the right local professional that can help them in making their business more successful.
As new partnership was forged with Meridian/Community Futures in regards to their Kindersley Micro Loan Program. This is something for our local small businesses, again, another resource to assist them in becoming more successful.
Another major project being taken on by the Chamber and Meridian is a series of seminars on Succession Planning; How to properly value and sell their business plus everything that is needed for the business owner to know before they sell.
Also, the Chamber is looking to a new direction for the Trade Show, again focusing on local businesses.
The annual Goose Festival is also a go for 2020 although it will require more volunteers to make it successful. The Chamber will be facilitating the Goose Festival with our local businesses.
One of our goals is to maintain Kindersley businesses now and into the future, as well as growth for new business in our community
