Klippers’ HC/GM Jardine Leaves, Club Hires Schneider as New Hc
The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers are proud to announce an important leadership transition within the organization — one that marks both a heartfelt farewell and an exciting new direction.
Thank You and Congratulations, Clayton Jardine
First and foremost, the Klippers would like to extend a sincere thank you and congratulations to Clayton Jardine, who has accepted an Assistant Coach position with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League.
In his third stint with the team — and second as Head Coach and General Manager — Clayton helped lead the Klippers back to the SJHL playoffs in both seasons. His presence behind the bench brought consistency and competitiveness back to the club, while his involvement in the Kindersley community made him a familiar and respected figure off the ice.
President Carson Shea shared:
“First and foremost, the Klippers Organization wants to congratulate Clayton on his career advancement. His passion for the game, commitment to player development, and strategic mindset have left a lasting impact on our program. While we will certainly miss his presence behind the bench, we couldn’t be prouder to see him advance to this well-deserved opportunity.”
The entire organization wishes Clayton, along with his wife Lindsay and daughters Piper and Scottie, all the best in this next step of their journey with the Red Deer Rebels.
Welcome, Kyle Schneider – Head Coach
With Clayton’s departure, the Klippers are excited to officially announce Kyle Schneider as the team’s new Head Coach.
Originally from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Kyle brings a strong coaching resume to Kindersley, having spent the last four seasons as Assistant Coach of the La Ronge Ice Wolves, where he worked under veteran coach Kevin Kaminski. Schneider has also served with Hockey Saskatchewan at the WHL Cup, first as a Video Coach and now as an Assistant Coach for the upcoming season.
Prior to stepping behind the bench, Schneider played in the SJHL with both the Melfort Mustangs and La Ronge Ice Wolves, tallying 12 points and 316 penalty minutes across 57 games — bringing a physical, high-energy style that’s shaped his coaching identity.
President Carson Shea on the hiring:
“We are proud to announce the newest addition to the Klippers Organization, Kyle Schneider, who will be stepping in as our Head Coach for the upcoming season! Kyle brings with him a wealth of experience, a deep passion for the game, and a commitment to building a strong team culture. We’re excited about the vision, energy, and leadership Coach Kyle brings, and we know our players, families, and fans will give him a warm welcome.”
The Klippers are thrilled to have Kyle step into this leadership role and are confident in his ability to guide the team forward.
Welcome, Ryan Gibson – General Manager
The Klippers are also proud to announce the promotion of Ryan Gibson to General Manager of the organization.
Known affectionately throughout the team and town as “Gibby,” Ryan has spent the last two seasons as the Assistant GM, where his commitment, hockey knowledge, and eye for talent have been instrumental in helping build a competitive roster. His strong work ethic and collaborative leadership style make him the ideal person to step into this expanded role.
President Carson Shea on the promotion:
“The Kindersley Klippers are proud to announce the promotion of Ryan Gibson to General Manager of the Organization! Gibby has been a vital part of the Klippers family over the past two seasons serving as our Assistant GM, where his eye for talent, work ethic, and dedication to building a competitive roster have been instrumental to our recent success. We’re excited to see Ryan bring his vision and passion to his new role.”
The organization is confident that with Ryan’s leadership as GM and Kyle’s direction as Head Coach, the Klippers are well-positioned for continued success, both on the ice and within the community.
The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers are entering a new chapter — one built on the foundation of the past and full of promise for the future. We thank Clayton Jardine for everything he’s given to the Klippers organization, and we proudly welcome Kyle Schneider and Ryan Gibson into their new roles.
