Sask. First Nation Preserving Dakota Language

Currently, the community has about eight people fluently in Dakota.

SASKATOON — When elder Cy Standing was growing up, the entire Wahpeton Dakota Nation community spoke Dakota.

Now, Standing wants to preserve the language for future generations.
