Nursing Home Residents Knit Large Remembrance Day Display

Residents, their family members, volunteers and community members contributed to the project — a  display of over 2,000 knit and crocheted poppies, which took nearly one year to complete.

Remembrance Day has always been meaningful to 89-year-old Evelyn Graves.

“I always went to the cenotaph and took my children, as long as I was able to do that,” she tells Global News.
