Meet Anna Polsfut
I am Anna Polsfut and I am the Communications Coordinator for the Town of Kindersley. I have been in this position for just over 2 years. I tend to the social media and website primarily, but also do some graphic designing, photography, and videography.
Before I scored this awesome job, I spent four years at Medicine Hat College beginning in the Journalism program and ending up in Visual Communications. To begin with, I could not even draw a stick figure, upon taking Drawing I as an elective, I learned I was capable of more than I thought. It could not have been done without the help and encouragement of my professors and classmates. I finished my college degree with a Bachelor of Applied Arts as well as an Associate of Arts and Science diploma. In my spare time, I am a freelance artist. My interests include screen printing, relief printmaking, photography, and graphic design.
I have been appointed as a representative to the Chamber of Commerce by the Town of Kindersley and have been on the board since 2018. I enjoyed working with the executive director at the time I began and was excited by the opportunity to join the to the board of directors. I still very much appreciate this role.
The part I enjoy the most about working with the Chamber of Commerce is the sense of community. I moved back to Kindersley after I finished my college degree not only because it is comfortable and safe, but to continue enhancing the community in any way I can. I have a passion for socializing and spending time with other people. I love volunteering for events and creating even more reasons for residents to stay in Kindersley.
I am a member of the Kindersley Museum board (secretary), the Walking Trail board, and Downtown Kindersley Association, I also volunteer for meals on wheels.
Lately with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of that volunteering has been replaced with virtual meetings. As much as it has been a change, I have enjoyed signing up for networking virtually. Looking forward to the future when I can see everyone face to face again!
