Sr. Klippers vs Macklin

By Kevin Martin

The old barn was a rockin’ Wednesday night as the Kindersley Sr. Klippers battled the Macklin Mohawks in the 1st game of the 2nd round of league play-offs. Both teams were aggressive and wanted to “exert the presence with authority”. It was a wild hard checking game with goal posts hit and awesome saves by both goalies. Unfortunately the Sr. Klippers were on the losing end of a 5 to 2 score. It just seemed like some passes were just a little off, or someone blocked a shot or the puck bounced the wrong way. Yep, that’s hockey. The huge crowd was really into the game and many Macklin fans were in attendance. Game 2 takes place in Macklin on Sunday, February 19th with the puck drop at 6:00 pm.

The boys in blue and green also play Saturday the 18th in Drake as they compete in the Senior A Provincials and back home on the 23rd. It will be a very busy month indeed!
