Alberta Clipper Slams Region

Southern Saskatchewan was hit hard by an Alberta clipper and we are still feeling its effects.

With winds topping out at just over 100 km/h, buses were cancelled yesterday, multiple power outages were reported, and travel was not recommended.

While road closures have been lifted, conditions continue to be icy and, at the time of publication, travel is still not recommended for areas around Rosetown, north of Kerrobert, and south of Eatonia to Leader. Travel is also not recommended on all highways in the Prince Albert, Rosetown, Humboldt and Swift Current regions. Most school buses in the area are not running due to the weather.

Travel recommendations continue to change to please visit the highway hotline for current updates

The blizzard warning remains in place for eastern Saskatchewan as the system moves into Manitoba.
