UPDATE Kindersley Fire Dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Collision East of Marengo

UPDATE:

After responding to one MVC earlier in the evening, at 10 p.m. Kindersley Fire received a second dispatch for another motor vehicle collision West of Marengo on highway 7.

By 11:40 p.m., all units had returned to the hall and all crew members were safe and accounted for.

The department reported the roads had been salted and were improving. However they advised using extreme caution if you must go out.

Tonight at 8:17 p.m., Kindersley Fire were dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Collision East of Marengo on highway 7.

At 9:11 p.m., crews arrived on the scene and extricated one occupant. Thankfully no injuries have been reported.

At 9:33 p.m., responding units were stuck West of Flaxcombe waiting on salt trucks. Roads were not passable due to ice.

The department has reported the roads are terrible, and semis are unable to climb hills at Teo Lake and Flaxcombe. It took the department almost an hour to travel to the scene due to road conditions.
