The crash is said to have caused “significant” injuries to his right leg and he has underwent what was described as a “long surgical procedure”.
Tiger Woods is not expected to face any charges in relation to his accident Tuesday, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said.
Villanueva described the single-vehicle rollover that sent Tiger Woods to the hospital on Tuesday morning as “purely an accident.”
