Alberta Parks Issue Reminder Reselling Campsites Is Not Allowed

Largely due to the uncertainty of travel, camping has become the “go-to” summer plan for most Canadians.

March 4th was the opening day for Alberta camping online reservations and as of 4 p.m. Thursday, there were 21,398 reservations made, which is 10,801 more than opening day March 2020 — an increase of more than 100 percent.

There were also 105,548 user sessions on, which is more than four times higher than opening day last March.

However, Alberta Parks has had to issue a reminder to the public that the resale of campsite reservations online is not allowed.

Reservations are non-transferable; when a camper registers at the campground, only the account holder or authorized user listed on their account is allowed to check-in. The reservation holder is responsible for all actions/damage at a campsite. As a result, attempted resale of campsites does not happen often.

They as the public to please report any ads or posts attempting to resell reservations to their Contact Centre at 1 (877) 537-2757, this is to help ensure Alberta Parks camping access fair and equitable to everyone. Reservations of anyone trying to resell their campsites will be cancelled.
