Wheatland Libraries Host Spring Events
The Wheatland Regional Library is currently featuring some fun activities on their website that let children explore information and fun facts about bugs and plants.
In their newest virtual program, children can check out the classic fairytale, Jack and the Beanstalk, watch as a monarch caterpillar transforms into a butterfly, and learn more about bugs through the animated story Bugs, Bugs, Bugs by Bob Barner.
A wide variety of spring books are also available, along with a bug bingo game sheet to use outdoors and links that share facts about all types of insects, how plants grow and what kinds of plants are in Canada and around the world.
For adults looking to create a spring craft, the Wheatland Regional Library hosts creativebug.com, which has thousands of award-winning art and craft video classes taught by recognized design experts and artists.
The Kindersley Library has also partnered with Westberry School and created a StoryWalk, which can be seen in the windows of the School. Families and individuals are invited to enjoy “Emma’s Gems” by Anne Renaud and Leanne Franson.
The first page is posted at the front entrance of the school and continues around the building towards the parking lot. All pages are numbered and can be viewed from the outside of the school.
Please enjoy and follow all public health guidelines!
