Mady Adamson’s AG Videos Making Provincial Splash

Grade three student Mady Adamson wants to educate people about where their food comes from, so she has launched her own series of agricultural videos that are making a big splash all over the province.

Scott Moe recently shared Mady’s video via Facebook saying “If you were ever worried about the next generation of Saskatchewan farmers, don’t be. Thank you Mady, for showing off some of the crops your family grows and what they’re used for. Great job!”

Mady first decided to do a series of videos throughout her family’s year after a discussion was brought up in her classroom about agriculture. She quickly realized she could help educate by sharing short videos of her involvement on the farm.

We recently chatted with Mady to learn a little bit more about her and her videos!

Mady, can you tell me a little about yourself, and why you love agriculture so much?
My name is Mady and I am 9 years old. Our family farm is at Rosetown but we also live in Kindersley where my Dad has a tire shop. I love farming, school, dancing and reading.
I love agriculture because I love being out on the farm.

What inspired you to create these videos?
In school, we were talking about Agriculture and I realized lots of people don’t know where their food comes from. I thought I could show some videos of our farm to explain how our equipment works and how we produce food.

Do you have any tips for future farmers?
Spend time helping out and learning.
