Photos of Dodsland Armed Robbery

Around 4:15 p.m. yesterday, June 7, 2021, Kindersley RCMP received a call of a bank robbery in Dodsland. Police officers from Kindersley, Rosetown, and Biggar Detachments responded immediately.

Initial investigation showed a male smashed the glass of the front door after the business was closed and entered with a firearm and demanded cash. He left with nothing and was last seen traveling in a truck in an unknown direction. Employees inside at the time were not physically injured.

The truck was located by police officers the same evening abandoned just south of Dodsland. It was later reported stolen by the owner from a rural property near the community.

RCMP Police Dog Services from Swift Current assisted and Saskatoon Police Service deployed their airplane. Saskatoon RCMP Forensic Identification Services and General Investigation Section continue to investigate.

The suspect is a reported as a caucasian male, approximately 6 feet tall and 220 lbs. He was wearing black track pants, black and grey windbreaker-style jacket and a full-faced skeleton-style mask.

The vehicle used in the robbery is a brown 2002 Ford F250 SD super cab. It has a home made black flat deck with trim on the back with two slip tanks. If anyone saw this vehicle in the community of Dodsland or surround areas before, during or after this incident, please report it to police. Police have not received any other complaints of stolen vehicles in the area since.
