Obituaries: Donald Perry Calder Kaufman
1937 ~ 2021 (age 83)
Donald Perry Calder Kaufman passed away peacefully on July 6, 2021, at the age of 83 years, after a bravely fought battle with prostate cancer. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded with love by his four daughters: Karen, Cindy, Wanda and Lindsay.
Don was born in Dodsland, Saskatchewan on September 26, 1937. Throughout his life he was passionate about farming and lived his life on his farm near Smiley; where he and Bev ran a successful grain farming operation and raised their four daughters. Don was involved in keeping his community beautiful by spending many years on the RM of Prairiedale Council. He was well-respected in his community and will be sadly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Don is predeceased by his father Harry, his mother Elizabeth (Bessie) and his brother Perry.
With his passing, Don is survived by his daughters Karen (Jared), Cindy, Wanda (Neil) and Lindsay (Noel) and his seven grandchildren – Jaeden, Hailey, Carson, Sophie, Harry, Owen and Finn.
A service in remembrance and celebration of Don’s life will be held at St. Paul’s United Church in Kindersley, Saskatchewan on Monday, July 19 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, Don’s family asks that you honour his life with a donation to Ducks Unlimited Saskatchewan, an organization that was always dear to his heart.
