We have received an update regarding yesterday’s (July 29th) fatal collision, which occurred at approximately 10 a.m.
After emergency services arrived, the driver and sole occupant of the semi was given medical assistance and taken to a nearby hospital for what has been described as minor injuries.
The initial investigation of the scene indicates that the semi was travelling eastbound and the SUV was travelling westbound along Highway 7. The SUV crossed over the center line, entering the oncoming traffic lane, resulting in a head-on collision.
RCMP confirmed two were deceased at the scene.
