Canada is working to create a digital vaccine passport that would allow citizens to travel abroad. Government officials have said they aim to have the passport available in the next few months.
Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino has said vaccine passports are “a key step forward in ensuring Canadians will have the documents they need once it is safe to travel again.
The vaccine certificate will be common across all provinces. Information will include your COVID-19 vaccination history, the date you got it, the type of jab and the location where it was given.
Canada is among number of countries that are working on vaccine passports for both domestic use and international travel.
