Kerrobert Kicks off Memory Tree Planting

There was a lot of excitement in Kerrobert today as the Town kicked off its tree planting. A total of 88 trees have been purchased to be planted in various locations around town. Efforts saw the planting of 20 boulevard trees, 12 Memory Trees at the Reservoir, 10 Memory Trees at the Cemetery, and 1 Memory Tree at the Golf Course. The remaining 45 trees are scheduled to be planted tomorrow.

Of the 88 trees, 34 were purchased through the Memory Tree Program. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed by purchasing a tree in memory of a loved one.

Over the coming weeks, information about each Memory Tree will be shared by the Town of Kerrobert. Every tree is marked with a sign and will be watered regularly to ensure it thrives for years to come. The Town is beginning the series of Memory Tree spotlights with a Reservoir tree dedicated to Kevin Meek. Thank you to Shauna for purchasing a tree in Kevin’s memory.

The Town of Kerrobert plans to continue the Memory Tree Program for many years. For more information or to purchase a tree for next year, please contact the Kerrobert Recreation Office at 306-834-2344.
