Access Point Removal on Highway 7
The Saskatchewan Highway Hotline has provided an update regarding the ongoing construction on Highway 7 through Kindersley.
The following access points to Hwy 7 through Kindersley are scheduled to be removed:
– Midblock south access (between 13th and 14th Street)
– 10th Street West north access
– 10th Street West south access
The removal of these access points is expected to be completed this fall, but the schedule will depend on utility coordination.
Removal of these accesses was recommended from the Highway 7 Kindersley Corridor Study. Access management is a way of improving safety along the corridor by reducing points of conflict between turning vehicles and through traffic on the highway. Reducing these points decreases the risk of collisions.
