Update: Lumsden RCMP Investigating Report of Luring Incident at Regina Beach

On September 21, 2023 at approximately 10:00 p.m., Lumsden RCMP received a report of a potential child luring on 5th Ave in Regina Beach, SK.

The subject of the report contacted police today and based on a fulsome investigation, officers determined there was no criminality involved and no risk to the public. No charges will be laid.

Officers are working on updating the families involved and the community of Regina Beach.

On September 21, 2023 at approximately 10:00 p.m., Lumsden RCMP received a report of a potential child luring on 5th Ave in Regina Beach, SK.

Initial investigation determined that around 8:45 p.m. September 21, a lone male driving a dark blue or black-coloured four-door car approached two male youth who were on foot and asked them multiple times if they wanted a ride. The two youth were able to return to a safe location and did not report any injuries to police. The car sped away.

The man is described as being between 40-50 years old with a round face. There are no clothing descriptors or license plate available.

Lumsden RCMP responded immediately and conducted patrols in the community. The vehicle was not located.

Lumsden RCMP are requesting parents and guardians speak with their children about exercising caution if approached by strangers in a vehicle. If this vehicle is seen, do not approach and report this to your local police service immediately.

Lumsden RCMP are continuing to investigate, including gathering additional information about the vehicle and the driver. If you have home or doorbell video surveillance with a view of 5th Avenue in Regina Beach, please check any footage from between 8:00-9:00 p.m. September 21 and report any sightings of this car or incident to the Lumsden RCMP.
