Christmas Wishes From West Central Abilities
Though it is early December, our Christmas preparations and celebrations are well under way! On December 3, 2021, we were able to gather with individuals supported by West Central Abilities and their family and friends. It was wonderful to see everyone together again! Thank you to Santa for stopping by with wonderful gifts for everyone!
The houses and day program have all set up their Christmas décor and shopping has begun to fill up under the trees! Individuals are excited to go out in the community and do some shopping if they feel safe doing so.
The day program has partnered with a class at Elizabeth Middle School and have been meeting up through a video chat to get to know each other and share some Christmas Cheer! We have baked some cookies to send their way and are excited to see how they decorate them! We also started working on door decorating at the Day Program this week, there is a cute polar bear hanging out here!
As the holidays are approaching very quickly, we hope that people take time to slow down and enjoy the holiday season. Often with all the hustle and bustle we forget about some of the things we need to do to stay safe, take care outdoors on icy or slippery surfaces, lift those large gifts and groceries with care and ask for help or make extra trips, be careful of spills that can lead to slips and falls in the kitchen and remember that this Christmas is unlike any other, stay home if you are not feeling well.
Everyone at West Central Abilities would like to send Christmas Wishes to our families, friends, and community! Thank you for your ongoing support over our almost 50 years of providing services in Kindersley and Area!
