Western Prairie Jr Klippers Make History!

On September 17th, our community had the privilege of being a part of history as we witnessed the very first-ever SFJHL (Bourgault Saskatchewan Female Junior Hockey League) game played right here on our home ice. This occasion marks the beginning of establishing a team our young girls can proudly represent. Congrats to Kiana Leicht on scoring the first ever goal by an SFJHL Team!

“We are super excited to be able to expand the female hockey programs in west central Saskatchewan! Our board and coaching staff has volunteered hours of work getting this team organized and ready for the inaugural season in the new SFJHL League. We appreciate all our players committing their time and athletic abilities to help start this league so that future players will have the opportunity to continue their hockey careers beyond the minor hockey programs. The Western Prairie organization has done an amazing job in west central Saskatchewan to develop players from the U7 to U18 age groups and now we will have the ability to continue that work till the age of 22.

We are excited to announce our home opener on Oct. 15 at 3:30pm in Kindersley we will be hosting the Lumsden Lynx organization from Lumsden Sk. Please follow our league at SFJHL.com for a full league schedule. Also, we will be updating our social media with game scores and season schedule very soon,” shared Mike Cullen, President Western Prairie Junior Klippers.
