Largest Single Donation in TeleMiracle History Contributes to Record Breaking Year

Did you happen to hear the heartwarming story of Eva Morgan’s incredible TeleMiracle donation?

The annual fundraising event shared that:

“Eva Vera Budd was born in 1921 and lived most of her life on a farm in the Old Wives District of Saskatchewan. Eva attended normal school, then went on to teach in one-room schools in Crestwynd and Broderick, Saskatchewan before settling down to farm life.

She married John Morgan and together they operated a mixed grain and cattle farm for over 50 years, before retiring to Moose Jaw in 1998. They took great pride in raising and caring for their herd and also had a great love for pets. Normally, farm dogs and cats are outside animals, but on the Morgan farm they had a place inside and were treated as part of the family.

Their love for friends and neighbors meant their door was always open for visits, which included a cup of tea, sandwich, and homemade cake. They found comfort in the vast open prairie farmland of Saskatchewan and only once did they venture to the west coast by train. In their words, it was awful – you couldn’t see anything, there was always a mountain in the way!

Eva looked forward to TeleMiracle every year and it warmed her heart to see the growing donation number on stage. Eva passed in 2021 and this donation is her way of supporting TeleMiracle and its mission in helping to improve the lives of the people of Saskatchewan.

Kinsmen TeleMiracle would like to thank Eva for her generous gift of $1,779,771.20.”

Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s TeleMiracle, whatever your donation amount, every little bit goes towards helping someone.
