Kindersley Legion Hands Out Service Awards Members

It was a busy night at the Kindersley Legion # 57 on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 as host/emcee and member-at-large David Burke was busy handing out service awards to many Legion members. He was assisted by the new Legion President, Jeannie Bylo.

Nick Nielsen from Country 104 accepted an award from the Legion for their participation and help with the Remembrance Day services. Your West Central Voice also was given an award for Remembrance Day coverage.

New Legion President Jeannie Bylo gave a speech and helped present Lifetime Awards to Ernie Krepps and his wife Ellen Krepps. Garrett and Melissa Trayhorne also helped to present awards.

5 year award – Trevor Dowd

10 year – Marg Artymovich

15 year – Sharon Duplessis

25 year – Ellen Krepps

40 year – Ernie Krepps and David Burke

Trevor Dowd, Ernie and Ellen Krepps also received Branch Service Awards

Past President Award to Roger Strutt

Special Presentation Award went to Ernie Krepps for his service. He received the Sovereign Medal for Volunteers as it recognized exceptional time and effort in volunteering in the community, Canada and beyond to which he received a raucous standing ovation from the appreciative crowd.

A delicious roast beef dinner was prepared by Jackie’s Delicious Delights. Brenda Meyer was the lucky recipient of the 50/50 draw.

All in all it was a great night and some truly giving people were recognized for their efforts.
