Rosetown RCMP Warn of Telephone Scam
Rosetown RCMP would like to thank the citizens of Rosetown and area for supporting us on our 1st Annual Pig Roast. Thanks to all the citizens for their donations totaling $1,097.00 to West Central Victim Services.
There is a telephone scam stating a family member has been injured, arrested or involved in criminal activities. Scammer is requesting cash be sent via courier or mail. Scammer is telling caller not to contact their bank or local police. Police are reminding people to NOT give any personal information or send cash, gift cards or etransfers to unknown individuals and if, in doubt, always call the RCMP before agreeing to any callers requests.

October 6, 2023 at 02:02 AM – Rosetown RCMP received a request for a wellbeing check in Rosetown, SK. Members attended and transported the subject of complaint to Rosetown Hospital for assessment.
October 6, 2023 at 03:53 PM – Rosetown RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter to a garage in Rosetown, SK. The matter is still under investigation.
October 7, 2023 at 04:10 PM – Rosetown RCMP received a report of an unconscious male at a business in Rosetown, SK. Members attended along with EMS, and a 37-year-old male from Rosetown was transported to Rosetown Hospital for assessment.
October 7, 2023 at 08:21 PM – Rosetown RCMP received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 7 near Tessier, SK. Members were unable to locate the vehicle.
October 8, 2023 at 03:31 AM – During a traffic stop, Rosetown RCMP arrested and charged a 27-year-old from Biggar, SK, with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle.
October 9, 2023 at 05:36 PM – Rosetown RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter to a house in Rosetown, SK. Members attended – there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
October 9, 2023 at 07:44 PM – Rosetown RCMP received a complaint of a suspicious person on Highway 15. Members attended and located a male who was hitchhiking.
October 10, 2023 at 09:46 AM – Rosetown RCMP received a complaint of an assault, and the subject of complaint was traveling on Highway 7. Members located the vehicle and arrested a 54-year-old male from RM of Blucher and released for court.
October 10, 2023 at 03:24 PM – Rosetown RCMP received a complaint of fraud in Rosetown, SK. The matter is still under investigation.
October 10, 2023 at 08:18 PM – Rosetown RCMP received a report of a missing person in Rosetown, SK. Members located the missing individual a short time later.
October 11, 2023 at 04:04 PM – Rosetown RCMP received a complaint of theft of tools from a truck in Elrose, SK. The matter is still under investigation.
October 12, 2023 at 08:26 AM – Rosetown RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision in Rosetown, SK. Members attended, and there were no injuries.
There were 85 Traffic related charges issued, 4 false alarm calls and 3 911 mis-dial calls.
