Obituaries: Jacquolyn Joyce Knuttila
Jacquolyn Joyce Knuttila peacefully passed away with family at her side, on April 8, 2022, at the age of 55. She was born in Dinsmore, SK on May 19, 1966. She was the first child of seven, born to Wilho and Patricia Knuttila.
Jackie was a force to be reckoned with. If you were fortunate enough to meet Jackie, you will never forget her. She loved to be around family, even though it didn’t always appear so! If you know Jackie, you will understand! It was often said that the louder she yelled at you, the more she loved you. If she was quiet and smiling, be wary!
She spent her time reading her books and playing with her cards. She wore out several sets of Curious George, and always got a new one for Christmas. She had many stuffed animals, and she knew when there was one was missing. She loved the Flintstones, and she spent many hours watching the Simpsons with her brother. Can still hear her giggle when Fred did something silly, and saying “Dumb Homer!” because Homer is always doing something dumb!
Many people over the years have told us that Jackie was lucky to have such a loving family. We believe the opposite…We were so lucky to have Jackie in our lives. Her unconditional love for all of us was second to none; everyone should know love that is as pure and simple as hers was. She made us all better people. She was so fortunate to never be jaded by the world around her…to Jackie, her world was perfect—except when she wanted birthday cake and it was no one’s birthday!
Jacquolyn was predeceased by her infant sister, Victoria; her parents, grandparents and several aunts and uncles. She leaves behind her family: Cora, LeRoy and Gared; Amy, Andy and Kara; Jacob, Gemma, Jacob Jr, Johnny, Damion, Tyler, Seth and Chelsea; Patsy, Trent, Eva and Maggie; Alfred(Alfie); Auntie Linda; Auntie Mary; Uncle Wayne and Auntie Jackie; many, many cousins (probably thousands!) as both sides of our parents’ families are very large; and her friends and care providers she met along the way that became family.
Until we are reunited—”love you too, Jackie…love you, too.”
