Mock Accident Reminds Students of Road Safety

A huge thank you to Kindersley Fire, our Local EMS, RCMP and the Kindersley Community Funeral Home & Crematorium for participating in the mock accident on Tuesday, May 17.

Sun West Grade 10 students witnessed what an accident scene would be like when all emergency personal are involved. By running this mock accident scene, it serves as a very real reminder to students the importance of safety at all times behind the wheel. The accident is part of the PARTY program, which stands for Preventing Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth, and is a yearly tradition.

“The mock accident, put on by all the agencies involved, was well received by the students. Thank you to everyone who participated,” shared Fire Chief Jeff Soveran.

The informative day ended with a keynote address from Humboldt Bronco Jacob Wasserman.
