Buttar Shares Stampede Bull Riding Title

In a nail-biting final, the Calgary Stampede wrapped up on Sunday, July 17, with Dakota Buttar sharing the bull riding championship with Shane Proctor from Grand Coulee, Washington.

Buttar did a stand up job, finishing second in the round of 10 with an 85.5 to move on to the four-man short. After each of the final four riders were bucked off, Buttar and Proctor went face-to-face in a ride-off where they tied for the lead with 88.5. Instead of riding another bull, Buttar and Proctor decided to share the championship. The pair won $31,250 each as they split the first- and second-place prizes of $50,000 and $12,500.
