Kindersley All-Wheel Park and Recreation Area Given the Green Light

Tyrone Kennedy-Bush is a man on a mission. And his mission is to create the Kindersley All-Wheel Park and Recreation Area. Thanks to the support of the town, he’s been granted access to build right along Ditson Drive beside the dog park, a nice open area where kids can play and be seen.

He has some sponsors, including himself already lined up; the Town of Kindersley, Prairie Rose, Meridian Surveys and Deb and Pat Holland to name a few. Tyrone said a facility like this helps to give people something to do and get them outside and off their phones! Roller blading, skateboarding, bicycling etc., are skills that need a safe place to learn. This summer he’s looking at one or two days a week to start to get together with kids to coach and mentor anyone who comes out and in the future have full summer camps for kids there!

“With approx 20 thousand square feet of usable space, we hope to integrate 12 – 14k sq ft of cement and some green space, as well as bring in lights to brighten up the dog park as well! To not interfere with the golf course, it has been proposed to plant trees between the 7th green and the recreation area and the first 2 rows have already gone in! It will be wheelchair accessible and is essentially for everyone,” shared Tyrone.

All that is needed now is more funding. Tyrone figured it could take up to 1 million dollars to complete everything as planned and wants it to be a space people are proud of when they drive by and where they integrate local art!

This project seems like a winner!
