New Principal at Kindersley Composite School
Kindersley Composite School (KCS) will have a new Principal when school returns in the fall of 2022. Meaghan Friedrick, currently Principal at Elizabeth Middle School in will be moving down the block to become the new principal at KCS.
“Meaghan had demonstrated outstanding leadership as Principal of Elizabeth Middle School,” commented Acting Director of Education Vicki Moore. “ We look forward to seeing her good work continue in her new role as Principal at Kindersley Composite School,” she added.
Originally from Regina, Ms. Friedrick graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Education in 2006 and also holds a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies from the University of New Brunswick as well as a Post Graduate Certificate as a Community Health/Mental Health Practitioner from Lakeland College in Alberta.
Ms. Friedrick started her teaching career in Regina where she taught at elementary schools as well as Thom Collegiate. She also taught at an elementary school in Saskatoon before taking on a teaching position at Kindersley Composite in 2008. In 2012 she became Vice-Principal of KCS and in 2021 became Principal of Elizabeth Middle School.
“I learned a lot and enjoyed my time at the Middle School,” said Ms. Friedrick. “It was a shorter stay than I had anticipated, but I am grateful for the experience. There was so much to learn, and I appreciate the staff, students and family’s patience with me while we moved forward through a challenging year. Elizabeth Middle School is a fantastic place to teach and learn! Thank you to everyone for helping me along the way!”
