Fouillards. Four Generations of Family Business

There is something to be said about a business that has been in the family for four generations—they know their stuff and they love what they do.

Fouillards has operated as a family-owned business since Rogers’ grandfather, Eugene Fouillard started the first Fouillard business in St-Lazare, MB in the 1930s, eventually opening the first Fouillards carpeting business 40 years ago. The family didn’t stop there and in 2004, Roger and Donna Fouillard moved to Melfort, SK., to start up their own Fouillard Carpets. In 2015, Roger and Donna, along with their daughter, Amber and son-in-law Ethan Wigley expanded to Kindersley, opening up Fouillards Floors & More.

Ensuring Fouillards remains a family business, Roger and Donna split their time between the two locations, while the Kindersley location is run by Ethan Wigley, and Melfort is run by sons Dustin and Travis.

Not only are Amber and Ethan busy with the daily running of the store they also have three children, Alexys age 14, Easton age 10, and Eva age 2, who keep them on their toes. “When we are not at work, depending on the season, we’re either at the lake or the hockey rink,” says Ethan. In addition to helping run the store, Amber has also reopened her spa, The Hideaway Spa, located inside Fouillard Floors & More.

Although they are a busy family, everyone at Fouillards remains customer-focused and works hard to bring your vision to life. Specializing in every aspect of floorings such as carpet, sheet vinyl, laminate, and hardwood, they ensure the brands they carry guarantee their customers the best quality. In addition to flooring, they also sell Cloverdale paint and quartz countertops.

The Fouillards family also focuses on building lasting relationships with their customers so that everyone who walks through their doors feels comfortable sharing their ideas or asking questions about products.

Always looking to serve their customers in the best way possible, the family is currently working on bringing a new addition to their Kindersley location, something that is entirely new to town. “We are very excited about this, and there will be an announcement in the near future!” says Ethan.
