Kindersley Chamber Feature The Crafted Hand
By Kevin Martin
With the recent pandemic showing signs of easing, Jen Ginther knew that now was the time to start her business.
The Crafted Hand had been in her mind for a while and when the old Veronica’s location became available, she knew that was where her new salon and handmade Canadian retail products would be set up. January of 2022 was when the salon and massage area opened up for business. The Handmade Canadian Retail side opened in May 2022. And both sides have been going great ever since!
Jen is a hair stylist by trade and had been in that occupation for 14 years with a two year hiatus. The concept of the salon/retail store is the culmination of many years of thought and her desire to own her own salon with a retail twist. Having visited markets, trade shows and craft shows, she knew she was on to something more than she realized.
Currently there are three stylists and one barber plus three massage therapists to help you both look good but also feel good! Walk-ins are always welcome but it doesn’t hurt to make an appointment.
Part of the retail side is devoted to clothing (Canadian sourced) with three BIG change rooms. As well, there is a plethora of natural cleaning supplies, soaps etc. All kinds and manner of hand crafted products await your arrival. With 6,600 square feet of floor space, there is plenty of room to expand.
If you’re looking for something unique, local and natural, check out the Crafted Hand. You will be very surprised at the selection on hand.
