1962 ~ 2022 (age 59)

Beloved husband of Rita, passed away peacefully at home on August 28, 2022 at the age of 59.

Also remembering him with love are his children Adrian (Taylor), Drake (Monica), Cordell (Danica); his brother Ken (Glenda); mother in-law Caroline Bosch; brother in-law Lee Bosch, sister in-laws Lucille Howlett, Sylvia Bosch and Beatrice Bosch along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was predeceased by his son Dalton Ross; his parents Wilhelm (Bill) and Esther Herman; his brother Calvin; father in-law Phillip Bosch; brother in-laws Andrew Bosch and Darren Howlett.

Marvin was born in Leader, Saskatchewan on December 8th, 1962. He was known for loving music, working on vehicles and having fun. After working as a roofer, he settled into a career with CP Rail, while also farming with his dad and brother in those early years. He created a home with Rita Bosch after marrying on July 30th, 1983. They soon added to their family with Adrian followed by Dalton, Drake and Cordell. Marvin enjoyed activities with his children when he had free time as he often had to work away from home. He retired in 2017. After several weeks of being at home, it was decided by the family that he had to go back to work. He worked for several local farmers and ranchers until the spring of 2021 when he joined two of his sons working on the Great Sandhills Railway.

Marvin was a man who loved to have people around. He always welcomed you into his home and offered you a drink. Marvin will be beside us every day, unseen, unheard but always near. He will be still loved, still missed, but very dear.

A Celebration of Life for Marvin will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 2 p.m. from the Leader Community Hall, 402 – 1st Ave. W, Leader, Saskatchewan.

Donations in Marvin’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
