#88 Cody Phinney

Since 2020

I like to spend most of my time at home with my wife and two daughters, but also regularly enjoy going fishing or being out on my bike. I have spent the majority of my life living in the Kindersley area and have worked in both the agriculture and oilfield areas, and I am currently employed with G-Mac’s AgTeam. I am driven by a passion to be of service to my community, and enjoy being able to help make it safer for everyone. I would challenge anyone reading this to make yourselves available in your community, there are always great groups looking for great people to make a difference.

Originally from South Africa, emigrated to Canada in 2019. Enjoy spending time with family and friends. Love the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. Enjoy playing sports, but not so much outside during winter. I am currently employed at Canada West Harvest Centre as the parts manager. Davidson fire department was my first time volunteering on a department and the need to be part of this fire family was great. Grateful for the opportunity to learn and serve.

I enjoy any activity that involves the outdoors like hiking or kayaking and have a passion for mental health awareness. I am at tech at Energy Dodge. I believe a fire department is a family and I have been lucky enough to serve previously with Delisle Fire Department and I am now a proud member of Kindersley Fires family as well. Myself and the department are here to support and protect the community we call home.

I enjoy spending time with my kids, sledding, traveling. I am currently employed by Lynco hot oilers in Kindersley. I’ve always had a strong interest in fire fighting and would encourage anybody who has a similar interest to join our team.

I enjoy spending time with friends and family, golfing, bowling and volunteering as the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce. I’m the IT manager for Murlin Electronics, and have a couple of companies I run: a computer contracting company, and Kindersley Social.  Another huge part of my life is the fire department, being able to be a part time professional firefighter and balance a career and family has made my life very rewarding. Anybody who’s ever thought about becoming a firefighter or thought they would like to do this as part of their life, our family would like to give you the opportunity to be part of our team, you won’t regret it.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going on adventures and anything artistic. I work at the Kindersley Coop grocery store as a meat cutter. I believe firefighting is something I was meant to do in my life and I plan on being here for many years to come. If you wanna do something with your life, make it happen only you can make your dreams come true.

I enjoy spending time with my wife and dog when I’m home from work. I enjoy playing sports and being active. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family like going to the lake, skating, snowmobiling etc. My job is crude but rail meaning I load rail cars with oil for a company called Serafina.

I’ve learnt a lot in the short time I’ve been with the department from the different types of trucks and what they’re used for, to the different types of hoses and fluids we use for different types of fires and situations and how to be a better part of a team.

The department is a great place to learn and help from others it’s a great group of people and great place to be part of a team.

I like to spend my free time out on the golf course or at the lake, or when it’s cold I like to play and watch hockey. I work at GMacs Ag Team based out of the Brock facility. Growing up I was always interested in the fire trucks and job that went along with it, so I joined with Kindersley fire the day I turned 18, and it was the best choice I ever made. If you’re interested in joining the fire service, Kindersley Fire has a great team and lots of amazing training to help you start your career!

In my spare time I enjoy golfing, snowboarding, and going to the lake. I work for the Town of Kindersley at the WCEC. I have always had a passion for helping people in need and am looking forward to the opportunity to do more with the Kindersley Fire Department.

I enjoy spending my time hunting, playing sports, and working. I am employed to Dayco Enterprises working in the oilfield in the Kindersley area. It is a great achievement to be a part of the fire service. I would encourage anyone that has thought about joining to come have a try at it first hand.
