Klippers VS Weyburn
By Kevin Martin
Tuesday, October 18th is a night to remember. The Kindersley Jr. Klippers had a 3 to 0 lead against the visiting Weyburn Red Wings but unfortunately 2 brutal give-aways helped the Red Wings come back and take the game 4 to 3.
The Klippers started off on a tear with 2 short-handed goals plus a power play goal. However, the 2 mistakes let the Wings back into the game. It was a hotly contested game as both teams wanted the win.
The Klippers were out shot by a margin of 32 to 27. Weyburn changed goalies just into the 2nd period and they seemed to gain confidence in their play. The Klippers had many chances but couldn’t put the puck in the net.
The Red Wings took 9 penalties to 3 against Kindersley.
Next up for the Klippers is a showdown with the Humboldt Broncos at the WCEC
Friday, October 21st. Puck drops at 7:30 pm.
