Klippers VS Humboldt
By Kevin Martin
The “Hanger” was a rockin’ on Friday, October 21 as there was much anticipation about the Humboldt Broncos visit to Kindersley. Humboldt sports the 2nd best record in the SJHL so far and Kindersley was at the bottom. So what’s the worst that could happen…?
Well, I will tell you that Humboldt started strong, skating hard and giving the Klippers fits. Humboldt had them down 1 to 0 after the first period. The Klippers scored once but Humboldt potted 2 more in the second. The stellar goaltending of Cody Jaman kept the Klippers close as they were out shot 49 to 33.
The third period however, was a different story. The hometown Klippers scored 4 unanswered goals and absolutely stunned the Broncos by winning 5 to 3!
There were only 3 penalties called and Kindersley had 2 of them. Official attendance was listed as 329 and boy did they go home happy!
